Pastor Bill Baker
Pastor Bill's parents came to Christ when he was about six years old. They heard the gospel at First Baptist Church in Hackensack, N.J. where Dr. Joseph Stowell was the pastor. Bill made a profession of faith when he was young, but he didn’t yield his life completely to Christ until age 18. He was then baptized in 1968 at Grace Baptist Church in N.J.
After graduating from Baptist Bible College, Bill taught school at Emmanuel Christian School for three years and then followed God’s call to be a pastor. He pastored churches in Ohio and New Jersey. Bill also served as an associate pastor here at Emmanuel. Most recently he served as the pastor of Faith Baptist Church in Greenville, Ohio for the past 14 years. He has since retired.
