Here at Emmanuel, we love Jesus, and we want to help our families teach their kids to love Jesus, too! So, our mission is to glorify God by teaching the Gospel and making disciples who are Submitted to His Lordship, Grounded in His Word, and Sincere in His Love.

We believe that God wants every father and mother to love God with all of their heart, soul, mind, and strength and has given them the responsibility to share that passion with their kids so that they develop into people who love God, too! We see this in the "next generation" passages like
Deuteronomy 6:6-7 and Psalm 78:4.

So, we want to help parents and guardians teach their kids about the amazing God we serve by teaching kids from the Bible and helping them learn about what it means to follow Jesus.

We go through the whole Bible at EKidz using the Gospel Project Curriculum for all ages (nursery to adult). Our parents can then build upon those lessons at home with resources that spark discussion, teaching, and worship. Visit the Gospel Project website here to find out more.

Our hope is that at Emmanuel, your kids have a blast learning about Jesus, you are supported as parents, and you have received some extra resources to help you in discipleship throughout the week!

Meet the Team

Children's Ministry Director
"At Emmanuel's EKidz, we desire to help children from newborn to 5th grade to grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ (2 Peter 3:18). We do that through Teaching them the Word, Caring for them in our classes, and Protecting them as they come to our ministries. It is a great privilege and joy to serve the families at our church!"

"Seeing these children come to know the Lord is something that fills my heart with joy. Emmanuel puts a big emphasis on their children, and being able to be a part of that puts a smile on my face. I LOVE MY BABIES!"

Ministry Safety

mandatory screening & training

All staff & volunteers working with minors much be members of Emmanuel Baptist Church and complete Emmanuel's Ministry Safety Steps.
The ministry safety steps include a written application, references, background check, and video training on our Child Protection Policy and Procedures.

Check in and Check out

Kids are electronically checked in and receive a name tag, and parents get a corresponding security tag.  A parent or guardian must drop their kids off. After the service, kids will only be released to the individual who has the correct security tag.
Parents of babies to preschoolers also receive a buzzer that allows the teachers to call parents if needed.

Building security

The children's wing has one entrance, and a security team member present at that point. The classrooms are in a hallway, and each one has windows that allow you to see inside the class.
Once the main service begins, the main entrance doors to the EKidz wing are closed, and only parents picking children up can enter.

ALLERGY ALERTS

The check in process allows parents to alert children's ministry volunteers to any significant allergy or medical need or concern.

minimum 2 adults with children

Every classroom will always have at minimum two adult, child ministry certified volunteers present.

security team

A member of the security team is present during check in and check out, and during the service, they do walk-throughs of the EKidz wing.
