Emmanuel Christian School is designed to assist the family by providing students with Godly, loving training that inspires them to exemplify Christ, make Biblically-based decisions, and attain academic excellence. Serving Toledo now for more than 40 years, the school was founded in 1967 and offers kindergarten through 12th grade in a traditional classroom structure.

ECS is chartered by the State of Ohio as a non-public school and is an accredited member of the Association of Christian Schools International. ECS also meets or exceeds all requirements of the state of Ohio for its academic standards. Emmanuel Christian School offers a college preparatory curriculum. There are computer labs in both elementary and high school with the latest technology and programs. Advanced placement courses are also offered. A great Fine Arts program exists with bands, choirs, small ensembles, pep band, along with private lessons.

Sports are a very integral part of Emmanuel Christian School. ECS competes in the Toledo Area Athletic Conference (TAAC) and the Association of Christian Schools International (ACSI) for the State of Ohio. It offers basketball, soccer, track, cross-country, baseball, softball, volleyball, and golf. The school boasts 2 gymnasiums, soccer field, baseball and softball diamonds, and a fun playground.

God has been good to Emmanuel Christian School. He has provided a state-of-the-art facility for which we are very thankful. The elementary building was finished in 2002. The completely renovated high school building was dedicated in 2006. The elementary, middle school and high school buildings are all air conditioned.
