Shortly
after his 21st birthday, God brought Dr. David
Rockwell to a serious place of commitment, leading
him to full-time ministry. With this new level
of Christian concern, the Lord led him to attend
Cedarville College (University). He earned his
undergraduate degree from Cedarville and a seminary
degree from Grand Rapids Seminary. Initially,
he served as a CE Pastor at Evergreen Baptist
Church in Indiana. He then joined the faculty
and taught for 23 years (two years at Faith Baptist
Bible College and twenty-one years at Baptist
Bible College). While serving at BBC, he completed
his doctorate at Luther Rice Seminary and Trinity
Evangelical Divinity School. The Lord again moved
him to a ministry at Regular Baptist Press where
he worked in the area of adult Bible curriculum
for four and a half years.
In February of 2004 he became a
Pastor of Christian Education at Emmanuel Baptist
Church. “Doc Roc,” as he is affectionately
called, teaches the Serendipity ABF. He enjoys
biking, walking, and Nascar. He is married to
Cheryl and they are parents to two wonderful daughters,
Julie and Ellen.
“I am privileged
to assist the church to ‘receive the word
of God’ (1 Thessalonians 2:13) and to ‘grow
up into him who is the Head, that is, Christ.’
(Ephesians 4:15). It is my joy to oversee the
teachers and the curriculum that is being taught
at EBC. Please call me at the church or send me
an email via our contact
page if I can help you in any way.”
