Emmanuel Bible Institute

The Emmanuel Bible Institute exists to provide an opportunity for those interested in pursuing a rigorous Bible study on a Bible college level in order to be better grounded in the Scriptures.  EBI classes will also aid in leadership development and personal edification.

Each class will consist of 42 hours of classroom time accompanied by appropriate homework and exams as determined by the instructor.

Participants will be required to pay a nominal fee of $25 per class to cover classroom expenses.  Participants will also be required to purchase textbooks as assigned by class teachers.

COURSE DESCRIPTION
 
This class is a study of the New Testament with an emphasis of its historical and theological foundation and its relationship to the great ideas of the Bible:  Creation, Transgression, Redemption and Consummation.  The life of Jesus Christ, the beginning of the Church and God's proper and complete redemption will be emphasized.
 
VALUE OF THE COURSE
An Introduction to New Testament Literature  provides.
  1. It provides a historical framework necessary to a better understanding of the events and theology of the New Testaments.
  2. A survey and evaluation of important events in the life of Jesus Christ adn the birth, establishment, mission, design and ministry of the church.
  3. An overview of God's redemptive plan from birth of Christ through the initiation of the new heaven and new earth.
COURSE OBJECTIVES
The student will be able to:
  1. Summarize the historical and theological foundation of the New Testament using a concise outline and noting important events, persons, dates and geography.
  2. Discuss the four big Bible themes initiated in the Old Testament and completed n the New Testament.
  3. Appreciate the literary beauty of the New Testament and desire to study it.
  4. Thank God for His provision of the New Testament.
